chrome rules! just tried http://www.etsy.com site which would take me at least 2 minutes to load on IE. only a sec on Chrome. love it. thx, e.

Hey Ed,

Thanks for the recommendation I will make sure that I check it out sometime next week after finals are all done with. Currenlty I’m on Safari that’s my default browser for the moment.

I jumped on Chrome as soon as it dropped, and though I still tend to use Firefox more than it, that’s more out of habit than preference these days (soon to change once they come out with an OS X version of Chrome).

As to the IE centric pages not working in Chrome, well, if a company can’t be bothered to build a product or page that won’t work with anything other than IE, then I’ll be happy to visit and fund their competition who do. I had a second point here, but it got so involved I decided to make it in to a post on my own blog (shameless plug following I know, but thought you might be interested):

I use Chrome and firefox too. Main reason I keep firefox around is I have a ton of extensions installed and Chrome doesn’t yet the capability. But I use Chrome for my web apps. Except for the annoying ones that seem to require IE, then I sue IE Tab in Firefox

I was surprised too…I’ve been using Chrome and Firefox both (I ditched IE a long time ago) and Chrome is noticeably faster; particularly on startup.

I also like Chrome’s very judicious use of desktop real estate.

The only reason I continue to hang on to Firefox is because I’ve fallen into the “Microsoft” trap before and am worried I might fall into a “Google” trap where I have to use all their stuff because it “works better together.”
